Recipes from a country kitchen
Hi I am really looking for some personal help and also work related as I am responsible for health and wellbeing in the workplace. I had a partial hysterectomy 7 years ago (ovaries retained) to save my life following my daughters birth. I am convinced I am entering the menopause(low mood despite taking anti depressants, constantly tired, itchy, frequently hot, headaches and just generally feel unwell and not me). I am getting nowhere with my G.P who insists that my last blood test last year showed no signs. Is there anyone you could suggest I contact whether alternative therapy or privately as I feel like I am going mad and just want some help. Also, are there any websites etc you would recommend for us to highlight in work? I’ve looked at menopause matters but didn’t find it particularly user friendly. Any advice would be appreciated!
Goodness it sounds like you’re having a hard time. I’m afraid I’m equally perplexed by the whole thing st the moment. I’m trying all the usual things like excercising frequently and eating really well, avoiding excessive alcohol and getting lots of sleep. I did try a mirena coil for a few weeks but I had problems with that so it’s gone now. I’m desperately trying to avoid HRT but it’s really hard. I’d keep on at your GP, I have friends who went through the menopause in their early forties so it’s not unheard of. I hope you get the help you need.
No you’re not a rubbish wife, You are a great woman and great human being.
Now to try my hand at mackeral biryani – best be good as fasting today.
Just saying 🙂
